Indie-alternative four-piece IV OF SPADES make their long-awaited comeback with the release of their sophomore album, Andalucia, out now on all digital streaming platforms, via Sony Music Entertainment.
The album was first announced during the band’s performance at Wish 107.5’s 11th anniversary concert. The album serves as their first record in over six years, since 2019’s CLAPCLAPCLAP! The album captures their “essence of friendship, artistic maturity, and rediscovered unity,” according to a press release.
Co-produced with Brian Lotho and Emil Dela Rosa, the record contains 12 tracks, including their comeback single, “Aura,” which peaked at the No. 4 position on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 chart, dated August 2, 2025. It also includes the other previously released singles “Nanaman,” “Konsensya,” and “Suliranin.”
Meanwhile, “Monster” acts as the lead single of this new record, which is described as a vibrant and gritty rock anthem that merges retro influences with something modern.
As a form of creative rebirth, the “Mundo” hitmakers collectively share in a statement, “We needed to prioritize ourselves and our relationship first before working on a new project, while we weren’t okay. It would’ve felt meaningless if we hadn’t fixed our bond before returning to making music.”
According to the quartet, the album’s themes talk about various things in life, such as flaws, people, and often unspoken topics. “It’s more fun now because we have more songs. The direction is clearer, and the process is more collaborative,” the band adds.
