IV OF SPADES have just dropped another surprise single, titled “Konsensya.”
The brand new track was released today (September 10) at 6 PM and features yet another unique sonic landscape that the genre-fluid band has explored. It’s a stark difference from their previous tracks “Aura” and “Nanaman“, with the single paying homage to ’90s alternative rock, with bassist/vocalist Zild Benitez taking center stage on vocals. Penned by Zild himself, the track was likewise produced by Brian Lotho, and tells a heart-wrenching tale of yearning that’s all to relatable for millions of listeners nationwide.
The cover artwork features the beloved band in full force, in a shot that captures a still from the song’s official music video. The noticeable light streaks on the left side of the image convey a vintage feel, almost as if it were shot on a 35mm film camera. The video itself was directed and edited by Raliug, and presented by Lunchbox.

IV Of Spades was formed in 2014 and comprises Unique Salonga, Zild Benitez, Blaster Silonga, and Badjao De Castro. The band found fame with viral hits like “Come Inside Of My Heart” and “Mundo,” both of which have also previously charted on the Philippines Hot 100.
