ILLIT are gearing up for their first comeback.
As announced by both HYBE and BELIFT LAB, the “Magnetic” hitmakers are expected to return with the release of their second mini-album, titled I’LL LIKE YOU. The project is scheduled to be released later this October 21, 2024, at 6 PM (KST) [5 PM PHST]. Pre-orders for the album are now open beginning September 23, 2024, and are available in different variants.
In an official press statement, BELIFT LAB described the upcoming project as a continuation of the group’s personal and sonic journeys over time. “Following the narrative of ‘Super Real Me,’ which focused on capturing ‘my true self,’ ‘I’ll Like You’ tells the story of the ‘self’ that becomes deeply immersed in the moment. ILLIT portrays their candid charm in ‘I’ll Like You’ as they encounter a ‘you’ they wish to get closer to, navigate moments of doubt, and ultimately follow their heart to discover their own answers,” it mentioned.
To accompany the release of the project, ILLIT will also be holding a special fan showcase — available both online and offline — on October 23, 2024 at 7 PM (KST) [6 PM PHST].
ILLIT—whose members include Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee, and Iroha — was formed in 2023 through the reality competition series “R U Next?” and they made their official debut on the K-pop scene with the release of SUPER REAL ME. The four-track project spawned the release of their chart-breaking hit single, “Magnetic,” which made history as the first debut K-pop song to enter the Billboard Hot 100 at the No. 92 position.
