After ten years, Ice Seguerra is gearing up to finally release a new album entitled Being Ice, where he explores a new chapter of growth, maturity, and courage. Marking his first all-original album, the full-length feature is set to come out this Friday (August 8, 2025).
In an official press release, the balladeer notes, “It took me a while. For the longest time hindi ako naging matapang (I wasn’t brave) because I was afraid to share my thoughts, to share what I was really feeling kasi (because) I was afraid to fail.” Additionally, it was said that through working on this album, Seguerra recalls his fear that his family’s livelihood would be affected if he failed as a songwriter amid the pressure of coming up with a hit.
“I had to mature. It took me 10 years, or probably more, to mature, to accept if things don’t go my way, OK lang, I can always move forward,” Ice adds.
While the full track list has yet to be revealed, five of the new single titles have been revealed: “Anino,” “Ikaw Lang,” “Lost in Time,” “Ikaw Pala ‘Yon,” and “Natapos Ang Lahat.” The artist has also premiered three pre-release singles leading up to the album’s debut, namely “Shelter of the Broken,” “‘Wag Na Lang Pala,” and “Nandiyan Ka.”
In related news, Ice Seguerra recently performed “ATM” at the 2024 iteration of the PhilPop Himig Handog competition, and hosted an interactive concert, titled Videoke Hits, last May.
