Waterbomb Manila is officially happening this 2025.

Launched in 2015, Waterbomb is an annual summer music festival originating from Seoul, which has since expanded to other cities in South Korea and other countries such as Japan, Hong Kong, Dubai, and Singapore. Alongside a focus on showcasing K-pop, hip-hop, and various forms of dance music, the festival is best known for its high energy water-based activities, from which it gets its name.

On July 9, 2024, the festival surprised followers in the Philippines, announcing that they are officially set to stage a Manila iteration soon. Initially expected to happen this 2024, it was then announced last November 6 that Waterbomb Manila will be held on February 22-23, 2025 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila City.

On November 29, 2024, Waterbomb Manila announced that singer-songwriter, actor, and host Kang Daniel will be the first artist to join its inaugural iteration’s lineup. Over the next few days, the festival would then go on to unveil the rest of the lineup. This includes Gray, DynamicDuo, STAYC, Lee Chae Yeon, VIVIZ, Skull & Haha, Sulreggae, Reddy, DJ Roots, Yang Se Chan, Siena Girls, and Insidecore.

On January 6, 2025, the festival announced that MAMAMOO member Hwasa is set to join the event’s lineup on the first day (February 22, 2025). This marks the return of the “Maria” hitmaker to Manila, following her performance at the 2024 edition of Wanderland Music & Arts Festival, which also included Thundercat, Jack Johnson, Lola Amour, The Walters, and more.

Other details, such as ticket selling, are also set to be revealed in the near future. Watch this space for updates.
