American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has just dropped her second studio album, The Secret of Us.

The 24-year-old’s sophomore effort features the lead singles “Risk” and “Close To You” — with the latter finally seeing the light of day since being first teased all the way back in 2017. Her highly anticipated duet with Taylor Swift on the track “Us” marks a rare feature for the iconic pop juggernaut, which stands as a testament to her friendship and role as a songwriting mentor to Abrams.

The “I Miss You, I’m Sorry” hitmaker found herself invited into Swift’s close-knit universe as one of the opening acts for the latter’s The Eras Tour last summer — a role that she will once again fulfill when the record-breaking tour returns for a final leg in North America later in 2024.

For The Secret Of Us, Abrams enlisted the help of The National’s Aaron Dessner, Jack Antonoff, and Swift herself to give the record the slick, and polished pop production it needed to highlight the young singer’s artistic growth over the years. Abrams first came into prominence with her 2020 EP Minor and found breakthrough success with the release of her debut studio album, Good Riddance, which peaked at the No. 52 spot on the Billboard 200.

Following the release of the record, Abrams is set to embark on her fourth headlining concert tour, The Secret of Us Tour, across the United States beginning in September 2024.
