It’s official — GOT7 are finally returning.
On December 19, 2024, the K-pop septet announced that, after three years, they are set to make their first comeback as a whole group in January 2025, celebrating their 11th anniversary since their debut. GOT7 — composed of JAY B, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam, and Yugyeom — are slated to release a new mini-album, entitled WINTER HEPTAGON, on January 20, 2025, followed by a number of promotional activities with all seven members.
According to a press statement, WINTER HEPTAGON is described as being “the result of the concerted efforts of all seven members, who were eager to repay their fans’ love in celebration of the 11th anniversary of their debut.” In partnership with Kakao Entertainment, this new release from the “NANANA” hitmakers was planned and produced with the goal of “showcasing high-quality content that resonates with the group’s global fans,” making “the best use of its music planning, production and marketing capabilities” to craft a collection of songs that highlights “the group’s distinctive musical color and magnetism.”
The group’s full comeback was first reported by South Korean media in late November 2024. Following this, on December 7, 2024, leader JAY B confirmed the news at his solo concert in Seoul ‘TAPE : RELOAD,’ with BamBam also confirming the news via his social media. The release of WINTER HEPTAGON will mark GOT7’s first release together since May 2022 when their self-titled mini-album came out.
Leading up to WINTER HEPTAGON‘s release, GOT7 are expected to release a number of different teasers via their social media to further build anticipation for their long-awaited comeback. Pre-orders for the mini-album are set to open on December 20, 2024 on various music platforms.
