Filipino alternative rock band FIONA has released their much-awaited full-length debut album, ROOMS, a record about the places that shape us throughout the different seasons of our lives.

ROOMS: FIONA’s Album Concept and Themes

The 13-track record is built on the idea of no longer being the same person who walked into a room years ago. The once familiar becomes unfamiliar, with old friendships and people constantly staying and leaving. There is the push-and-pull between holding on and letting go, with change opening doors for new beginnings.

The record is a “culmination of stories, experiences, and songs collected throughout their sixteen-year journey. More than a collection of tracks, the album serves as a reflection on memory, growth, and the people and places that continue to shape us long after we’ve moved on from them,” says the official press release.

Across the different chapters of the band’s life, ROOMS is a collection of songs that are born from different seasons, some written at a time of uncertainty, while others are carried by change, hope, reflection, and realization.

In the album, every song is a room — both familiar, challenging, and those worth revisiting. It serves as a “thank you” for longtime listeners who have been with the band all these years.

“Each track opens a different door, revealing a different memory, perspective, or chapter of the journey. While listeners can enter anywhere, the album reveals its fullest story when experienced from beginning to end,” says the press release.
