Sarah Geronimo, SB19, Maki, And More Nominated For ‘Pop Song of the Year’ At The Filipino Music Awards

The Filipino Music Awards has just announced its list of nominees for the ‘Pop Song of the Year’ category.
This year’s nominees for the inaugural edition of the awards show include several of the local pop scene’s biggest names, such as legends like Sarah Geronimo, the Kings of P-pop SB19, breakthrough acts like KAIA and BGYO, as well as Maki himself.

The ‘Pop Song of the Year’ category joins the ‘Folk Song of the Year,’ ‘Alternative Song of the Year,’ and the ‘People’s Choice Awards‘ as the categories revealed so far by the Filipino Music Awards, with the latter having its own sub-categories of People’s Choice Award: Artist, People’s Choice Award: International Artist, and People’s Choice Award: Song. Several renowned names and songs have been nominated in the category, including SB19, BINI, G22, Rico Blanco, Cup of Joe, KATSEYE, TWICE, j-hope, SEVENTEEN, Justin Bieber, and others.
Happening this October 21, 2025, the Filipino Music Awards will also feature such performers as Cup of Joe, BINI, SB19, Maki, BGYO, Ben&Ben, Apl. de Ap, IV OF SPADES, and several others. Presenting 20 awards across five major categories, the forthcoming awards show will be presented by Modern Media Group Inc. — home to prestigious global titles like Billboard Philippines, Rolling Stone Philippines, Nylon Manila, and Robb Report Philippines — and produced by AGC Power Holdings Corp.
