Fil-Am singer-songwriters Jeff Bernat and Jesse Barrera have just won their first-ever Grammy Awards.
The renowned musical duo were awarded at the 67th GRAMMY Awards as the songwriters for their work on Christian gospel musician DOE’s album Heart Of A Human, which was awarded Best Contemporary Christian Album. As songwriters on the record, together with their co-collaborator Tim Atlas were honored for their contributions on the album, which includes the Grammy-nominated “Holy Hands” that they co-wrote.
“[I] won my first Grammy as a songwriter. Thank you God, thank you @recordingacademy and thank you @doejonesmusic for the opportunity! We’ve been manifesting this moment for years now and it finally came true @jessebarrera @timothyatlas 😭 I love y’all fr,” Bernat mentioned in his official Instagram. “Now back to work cuz I’m tryna do it again!”
On the other hand, Barrera shared a short but sweet message, stating, “We [are] on a Grammy-winning album!!! time to finish my own.”
Aside from their Grammy-winning endeavors, the duo recently collaborated on an ‘intimate’ rendition of Barrera’s single “Growing Old With You” with Patrick Hizon. Bernat also released his Love, Jeffrey extended play within the year as well, which featured the tracks “Better With You” and “Chamomile.”
