Eraserheads have officially announced an unreleased song, entitled “Get This Love Thing Down.”
First teased during the closing credits of the Filipino rock icons’ acclaimed documentary film Eraserheads: Combo On The Run, the unreleased song is set to be performed for the very first time by the band during their headlining set at the forthcoming Electric Fun Music Festival, which is set to happen on October 18, 2025 (Saturday) at the SMDC Festival Grounds in Parañaque City.
“I’m excited for our new and longtime fans to hear what we came up with,” shares frontman and main songwriter Ely Buendia in a press statement. “We’ve each grown to different phases and explored different sounds, but this song reflects where we are now — emotionally, musically, and spiritually.”
Notably, “Get This Love Thing Down” is Eraserheads’ first new song in 11 years, following their double single “Sabado/1995.” It came out on September 1, 2014, through an exclusive CD included in an issue of a local magazine.
Alongside a two-hour set from Eraserheads, Electric Fun Music Festival will also feature performances from fellow local acts The Itchyworms, Moonstar88, Basti Artadi, Imago, Dong Abay Music Organization, General Luna, Blaster, Party Pace, Carousel Casualties, Pinkmen, ALYSON, and Sa Vie.
Tickets to the festival are priced from PHP 1,500 to PHP 12,500 and are still available via PalawanPay and SM Tickets. PalawanPay SVIP (PHP 12,500) and VIP (PHP 10,500) ticket holders will notably have access to a limited special soundcheck experience. This includes “a rare opportunity to witness the band’s pre-show preparation, experience early venue entry, and secure premium viewing spots before the main show begins.”
In other news, Eraserheads: Combo On The Run recently made history as the first ever Filipino film and Filipino music documentary to premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con or SDCC in the United States last July 2025.
