ena mori is heading back to London next month.

On May 6, 2025 (Tuesday), Eastern Margins — a label focusing on alternative Asian culture — announced that it is partnering up with SXSW (South by Southwest) for a specially curated show as part of the first-ever SXSW London, happening this June 2 to 7, 2025 (Monday to Saturday).

The team-up show between Eastern Margins and the prestigious music, media, and technology conference’s first London iteration is set to happen on June 2, 2025 at Village Underground. It will serve as SXSW London’s opening night, featuring six of “the most inimitable and exciting ESEA (East, Southeast Asia) artists.”

Among the artists set to perform is the Awit Award-winning Filipino-Japanese experimental pop singer-songwriter ena mori. Joining her in the lineup of the SXSW London and Eastern Margins gig are Japanese instrumental rock band MONO, London-based Chinese-Vietnamese rapper Jianbo, experimental club music-collaborators LVRA and Soda Plains, and Japanese-German hip-hop artist Nina Utashiro. Access to the show, as well as the rest of SXSW London 2025, can be gained by purchasing the event’s official music festival wristbands, priced at £65 each, here.

This officially marks the third SXSW that ena mori has participated in, following SXSW 2023 in Texas and at SXSW Sydney 2024, where she represented the Philippines alongside fellow singer-songwriter Clara Benin.

Alongside her participation in SXSW London 2025, ena mori has also revealed that she will be performing at two other shows in the city.

The first of these is a gig, dubbed ‘East of Eden,’ where she will be performing alongside English singer-songwriters Darcy Toyn and Enna. It will be held at the Strongroom Bar on May 28, 2025 (Wednesday) and tickets are available via Dice at £11.44 each. Meanwhile, the other show will see her opening for English alt-pop duo Punchbag at the Bermondsey Social Club on May 29, 2025 (Thursday). Tickets for this gig are available via Dice at £11.33 each.

“Extremely nervous and excited to perform 3 solo shows around my favorite city London,” stated ena mori in an Instagram story announcing the other gigs. “So strange how music finds us anywhere, no matter where we’re from. I’m grateful for this opportunity to be able to represent my culture, my blood, and my music in the UK.”
