Ena Mori has finally dropped her much-awaited single, “Heartache Generation,” her first release for 2024.

The 2024 Billboard Philippines Women in Music Rule Breaker awardee released the single today (March 15). In a press statement, the critically-acclaimed singer shared,  “’Heartache Generation’ is written by me, and it’s about being afraid of getting older and feeling overwhelmed with life that changes so quickly — an existential crisis that comes with anxiety and pressure. This is the first single after the album has been released and an introduction to what kind of direction I’m going for the next big release.”

“We experimented with different textures of sound, such as nylon guitar, percussions, and synthesizers, and it definitely gives a dimension that is different from the previous releases. Sonically, I added tiny but significant touches of new sounds here and there, something you haven’t heard from my album,” she continued.

Earlier this month, she filmed a live music video using the new Ray-Ban Meta Glasses, becoming the first artist in the world to ever do such a feat. The music video was shot at the Modeka Creative Space in Makati City. Select guests and members of the press were invited to watch the shoot, which was streamed to Ena Mori’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, providing an exclusive sneak peek of the video. The recorded version will be released on March 15 at 6PM.

Ray-Ban recently inked a partnership with tech giant Meta to produce a smart glasses line, which integrates livestream and AI technology. The glasses allow for direct livestreaming to Instagram and Facebook. The glasses boast of an ultra-wide 12 megapixel camera and can take 1080p videos for up to 60 seconds. It also includes a built in AI assistant, voice command, touch control, as well as a 36 hour charging case. Additionally, the glasses feature a custom-built speaker and five microphones with “immersive audio recording.”
