Today (August 22, 2025), Cebuano singer-songwriter Dom Guyot unveiled his latest single entitled “Lamig” under Sony Music Philippines.

Produced by JGREG, Janine Berdin, Kirk Basilio, and Guyot himself, the track is a step away from the early 2000s pop direction of his prior release “kabit.” Instead, the fresh drop leans more into R&B, as a showcase of the artist’s vocal prowess and intimate songwriting. Centered on themes of yearning for a loved one’s company, he croons, “Ang lamig, kapag ‘di kita katabi, kapag ang boses mo hindi ko rinig.” (It’s so cold when I’m not beside you, when I can’t hear your voice.)

This marks Dom Guyot’s second musical release of the year, following his viral release in June, “kabit.” Additionally, he had previously revealed that his forthcoming sophomore album is nearing full development and is set for release soon.

In an exclusive interview conducted by Billboard Philippines last June, the artist shared, “Now, I have themes that people don’t necessarily talk about day-to-day. I’m really excited because I’m not only opening doors for queer artists like me and for queer people in general, but if you give people something they can relate to, you’re giving them space to belong. And that’s one of my missions.”
