Demi Lovato is returning to her pop star roots with her upcoming album, titled It’s Not That Deep.
The newly announced record is scheduled to be released this October 24, 2025, and will include a total of eleven tracks. The album’s cover artwork was also revealed alongside the main announcement, featuring the pop star front and center amidst a set filled with chaos. “We created the most beautifully chaotic scene surrounding me, and you know I had to lock the f*ck in,” mentioned Lovato of the cover. “This music is a reflection of where I am now. So proud of all the work I’ve done, and now, it’s time to celebrate and have some fun!!!” she continued. Check out the album cover below:
Even on X (formerly Twitter), Lovato jokingly announced the release of her fifth documentary film, following the previous Demi Lovato: Dancing with the Devil (2021) and Child Star, with the link attached in the post actually led to a pre-save link to her forthcoming album.
Just a few days prior to the announcement, Lovato released the record’s second single with “Here All Night” — an infectious disco-pop single that captures the same spirit of her smash-hit releases over the years. Together with the track’s release, an accompanying music video was also dropped on Lovato’s YouTube channel, featuring high-intensity and physically demanding choreography that was perfectly executed by Lovato herself. It’s Not That Deep marks Lovato’s ninth studio album, following the release of 2022’s HOLY FVCK and her 2023 remix record REVAMPED. Both records saw the 33-year-old artist embrace her rock sensibilities, especially with their hard rock and pop-punk sonic palettes. Lovato’s return to the realm of pop shouldn’t come as a major surprise for fans and listeners of hers, given the smashing successes of 2017’s Tell Me You Love Me, and 2015’s Confident.
Just a few months back, Lovato kicked off this new and revamped era of hers with the release of her comeback single “Fast,” which veered towards the electro-pop and dance sound, serving as the perfect teaser for what anyone could have expected from It’s Not That Deep. The track’s music video and promotional run made light of several of the memes Lovato has spawned over the years, highlighting the impact of the pop star on culture outside of music.
