After a three-year-long wait, DAY6 are finally back and better than ever with a new mini album Fourever and a music video for its lead track “Welcome to the Show,” both released last March 18.

Touching on themes of gratefulness and heartfelt promises, the anthemic “Welcome to the Show” serves as the fitting soundtrack to the Korean pop rock quartet’s long-awaited comeback. The song’s accompanying music video stars actors Yoo Seungho (known for I’m Not A Robot, My Strange Hero, and Moonshine) and Choi Heejin (known for Strong Girl Nam-soon, Snowdrop, and The Impossible Heir) and showcases the band performing interspersed with scenes of the two actors in a theater setting.

The group’s comeback was first announced last March 4 through a trailer film that was posted on their official social media. Last February 16, it was revealed through South Korean media that the band was currently filming a music video at that time for their highly anticipated return that was slated for a March release.

Fourever marks DAY6’s return as a full band since their seventh mini album The Book of Us: Negentropy – Chaos Swallowed Up in Love, which was released almost three years ago on April 2021. Prior to their return, members of the group enlisted for their mandatory military service one by one, starting with leader and guitarist Sungjin in March 2021 and lastly with keyboardist Wonpil on March 2022. In the middle of all this, Wonpil, bassist Young K, and drummer Dowoon all unveiled their respective solo debut releases and had their first comeback as Even Of Day, the group’s first sub-unit, with their second mini album Right Through Me, released last July 2021.
