Cup Of Joe are here to haunt your ears for the better with their new single, titled “Multo.”
The new track came as a surprise release to their Joe-wahs and other fans last September 13, 2024 (Friday), as the group announced the track a mere three hours before its scheduled release.
Yet as many of their listeners have discovered, “Multo” hits you straight in the feels as it delivers a poignant examination of the ghosts of our past, leaving one with a little more clarity on the ruins of their failed relationships. Even sonically, the track itself is a bit more ambitious and experimental for the band, with a hook that lingers deep upon its first full listen.
”Multo” marks the latest entry in Cup Of Joe’s discography, and follows the release of their chart-topping single “Misteryoso” and “Lahat Ng Bukas,” featuring Keanna Mag. The group also released their first ever extended play (EP) Patutunguhan late last year, which includes the hit single “Tingin” with Janine Teñoso.
Both “Tingin” and “Misteryoso” are currently charting on the Billboard Philippines Hot 100 with their other single “Estranghero.” “Tingin” stands at No. 12, “Misteryoso” at No. 28, and “Estranghero” at No. 69. Together with many other chart-topping musicians, Cup Of Joe are set to take the grand stage for Billboard Philippines’ first-anniversary event, Mainstage, this October 15, 2024.
