Coloura are back with new song.

On January 31, 2025 (Friday), the Cebu-hailing pop rock band released their latest single, entitled “At 25, somebody told me I looked like a young Pete Wentz.” It serves as the band’s first single off of their forthcoming album, which is set to come out later this year.

“At 25, somebody told me I looked like a young Pete Wentz” (or “At 25…”) is also the band’s first release of 2025, serving as the follow-up to the St3r10 remix of their song “First Time,” which came out last December 6, 2024, as well as “Coming Home” — a collaboration with Indonesian pop rock band lightcraft and Dumaguete singer-songwriter Chelsea Dawn, released last July 5, 2024.

The band is also set to premiere a self-produced music video of the track later tonight. Watch this space for updates.

Described as promising “a new sound,” Coloura’s yet-to-be-named studio album is preceded by the band’s first two EPs — In Between, released last November 2022, and Love and Influence, released last November 2023. “We were aiming for a more raw, organic yet polished sound, which kinda led us into a whole new genre,” reveals frontman and main songwriter Jake Relacion in a press statement. “It’s a bit heavier than our previous EPs, and is mostly inspired by 2000s alternative rock and pop-punk.” With this, the quartet also plans to release more singles before the album’s release.

Formed in 2016 by original members Relacion and Robert Lim, Coloura began as a “side project after college hours” cover band before eventually releasing its debut single “Shirley” under the band’s former name Dox. They were joined later on by long time college friends Ziv Zoleta and Emil Baleva to complete their lineup. Following a name change to Coloura, the band came out with its debut single “Losing My Mind,” released in September 2019.
