Last week, it was announced that Cebu-based pop/rock band Coloura would soon be coming out with their single entitled “GF.” The song, their third single release for the year, is scheduled to premiere this May 30, and can be pre-saved here. In their caption announcing the track, the band writes, “It’s something out of a 2000s teen movie (and it kinda sounds like one, too).”
As mentioned earlier, “GF” marks the four-piece’s third single release of the year, as they have been building up to their debut album.
The first of the pre-release singles was “At 25, somebody told me I looked like a young Pete Wentz,” debuted on January 31, 2025. “We were aiming for a more raw, organic yet polished sound, which kinda led us into a whole new genre,” wrote frontman and main songwriter Jake Relacion in a previous press statement regarding the song. “It’s a bit heavier than our previous EPs, and is mostly inspired by 2000s alternative rock and pop-punk.”
On March 21, 2025, the four-piece came out with their second pre-release single leading up to their album, entitled “Only Connection.”
