Cheats are back with a long-awaited new single, entitled “Things We Used To Say.”

First announced by the Filipino indie rock band on August 15, 2025 (Friday), the song was released on August 22, 2025 (Friday).

“Things We Used To Say” serves as Cheats’ first single in more than three years, following “Kapit,” which was released on July 27, 2022. Additionally, the upcoming single is the band’s first release since their third album houseplants came out on November 11, 2022, for which “Kapit” serves as the sixth track.

In other news, Cheats are celebrating the 10th anniversary of their self-titled debut album with a special show later this month. Happening on August 29, 2025 (Friday), the gig will be held at the Linya-Linya headquarters in Libis, Quezon City. It will feature a long set from Cheats, alongside performances from fellow indie rock acts OZO and Novocrane.

Tickets to the show are priced at PHP 450 (Early Bird) or PHP 750 (Walk-In) each, and are available via the official Linya-Linya website.
