Seven years past the release of her debut album, Cardi B has finally announced her sophomore full-length, titled AM I THE DRAMA?

The chart-topping rapper and celebrity icon was the first to break the news across her social media accounts, wherein she revealed the album’s cover artwork, official title, and forthcoming release date of September 19, 2025. Just a day prior to its official reveal, Cardi B also posted a conceptual teaser video, which featured the rapper surrounded by crows as she delivered a spoken-word monologue over the seven years that have passed by.

“Seven years and the time has come. Seven years of love, life, and loss. Seven years I gave them grace, but now, I give them hell. I learned power is not given, it’s taken,” she proclaimed. “I’m shedding feathers and no more tears. I’m not back, I’m beyond. I’m not your villain, I’m your tyrant. The time is here — the time is now,” she then continued.

AM I THE DRAMA? marks the long-awaited follow-up to 2018’s Invasion of Privacy, which debuted atop the US Billboard 200 upon release. The album featured the hit singles “Bodak Yellow,” “Bartier Cardi,” “I Like It,” and “Be Careful,” and also featured a stacked roster of guest artists such as SZA, Migos, Bad Bunny, 21 Savage, Kehlani, Chance the Rapper, and more.

According to an official press release, the forthcoming album is set to include a total of twenty-three tracks, including the 2020’s “WAP,” 2021’s “Up,” and her most recent release, “Outside.” The latter was just released over the past weekend and serves as the lead single for the upcoming record.

Though it’s been quite some time since Cardi B’s last full-length release, the rap sensation has kept herself busy with motherhood, as well as endeavors branching out across the world of film, reality television, and with various guest features on albums from Shakira, Peso Pluma, GloRilla, and Flo Milli.
