BTS are officially set to make their long-awaited comeback this 2026, with new details regarding a full-length album release having been revealed by the global K-pop phenomenons.

As announced by their label, BigHit Music, the iconic seven-piece group comprised of RM, JUNGKOOK, SUGA, JIN, JIMIN, J-HOPE, and V, will make their official return to the music scene on March 20, 2026 with the release of a brand new album, marking their first full-length record in nearly four years. “March 20th comeback confirmed,” wrote BigHit Music on their official X account (formerly known as Twitter).

Prior to the official announcement, the group teased the significance of the March 20 date on their handwritten messages dedicated to their fanbase of ARMYs for the new year. Among the special notes, RM had written that he had been “waiting for this moment more desperately than anyone.” “I greeted you all as a soloist in 2023 and 2024, but I can finally greet you as part of a team again,” wrote Jin, while J-Hope added, “Finally, it’s the year that we will all be together with you!!”

In addition to the announcement of the upcoming album, BTS also teased an accompanying world tour upon their reunion last 2025, which is expected to take place this year. The group’s reunion last July also marked the commencement of their process of recording the new album, which follows their last full-length LP from 2020, Be, and their compilation record from 2022, Proof. “Since it will be a group album, it will reflect each member’s thoughts and ideas,” they said in a statement. “We’re approaching the album with the same mindset we had when we first started.”

Having been on hiatus since June 14, 2022, BTS saw its individual members fulfilling mandatory military service in South Korea and recording a multitude of solo projects as their own soloists.
