Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas are celebrating twelve years with a day of special activities this month.

On November 5, the disco-funk, soul, and blues collective announced that they are set to celebrate their 12th anniversary with a day of live music, talks, as well as a single launch, “as a way of giving back to the community [they’ve] built in the past years.” The group’s planned grand celebration is set to happen this November 16 (Saturday) at 123 Block in Mandaluyong City.

The day’s events will start at 2:00 PM with talks covering “ensemble playing, jazz/horn improvisation, and songwriting as main topics,” featuring members of Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas as well as trombone player Ethan Santos of British acid jazz band Incognito as speakers. The talks will also cover “how musicians collaborate,” “understand the roles of every instrument,” as well as “tips on creating music on the spot.”

It will then be followed at 8:00 PM by a live music show, featuring Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas themselves, alongside barb., Shanne Dandan, Kindred, and Jensen and The Flips. It will serve as the launch show of Brass Pas Pas Pas Pas latest single “Iba Talaga,” which is set to come out this November 15 (Friday). According to vocalist and composer Mike Luis, the new track is “largely inspired by ‘80s tunes, like those from Hall & Oates, and Lanca Perfume by Rita Lee.” Pre-save the new single here.

Tickets to the event are priced at PHP 500. Registration and payment can be done here.
