After a three-year hiatus, BLACKPINK have finally made their long-awaited comeback with their brand new single, titled “JUMP.”
The newly released single was dropped across various digital and streaming platforms this July 11, 2025 (Friday), alongside an accompanying music video directed by Dave Meyers. The music video sees the group’s members LISA, JENNIE, ROSÉ, and JISOO infecting the streets of Seoul with a dance-like virus that causes their fans to thrash their heads to the song’s beat.
“JUMP” was first teased a few days before their kick-off concert for their DEADLINE World Tour in Goyang, South Korea, where they also performed the track in its entirety for the crowd in attendance. The track features production from Diplo & JUMPA, and includes a sample of the popular European dance track from 1997, “Meet Her at the Loveparade” by DJ Da Hool. The newly released single also marks the first musical release in three years, following the standalone single “The Girls” from the BLACKPINK mobile game, and their 2022 sophomore full-length album BORN PINK, which featured the chart-topping hit singles “Shut Down” and “Pink Venom.”
Beyond the release of “JUMP,” BLACKPINK are set to continue their DEADLINE World Tour as it continues onwards to Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, and New York this July, before they move to complete the European leg of the tour in August. The iconic K-pop quartet will also be performing in the Philippines for two sold-out shows in the Philippine Arena in Bulacan, happening this November 22 and 23, 2025.
Over the past year, each of the group’s members dropped their debut solo records, with ROSÉ releasing rosie, LISA putting out ALTER EGO, JENNIE dropping Ruby, and JISOO releasing AMORTAGE. Both JENNIE and LISA brought their solo projects on the road for this year’s Coachella Festival, bringing each of their solo songs to life with impressive stage production in a strong demonstration of their artistry.
Though not much has been teased by YG Entertainment following the release of “JUMP,” make sure to stay tuned to Billboard Philippines for more updates on BLACKPINK and their comeback activities.
