BINI continue to prove their impact at the Awit Awards 2024.
On December 4, the 37th iteration of the Awit Awards was held at the Music Museum in San Juan City. Among the awards given out were part of the People’s Voice category, wherein awardees were determined via a text vote campaign. Following the tallying of votes, P-pop icons BINI took home the majority out of the 10 total awards to be given out from this category.
The Nation’s Girl Group won a total of 5 awards from this category. Namely, this includes Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Favorite Group Artist; Favorite Music Video of the Year for their inspirational single “Karera”; as well as Favorite Song of the Year and Favorite Record of the Year for their breakthrough hit “Pantropiko.”
The P-pop girl group were also nominated for Record Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Performance By A Group, and Best Engineered Recording for “Pantropiko” as well as Best Inspirational Recording for “Karera.”
Alongside BINI, fellow winners for the People’s Voice category include P-pop boy group Yes My Love for Favorite New Group Artist; actress-singer Belle Mariano’s 2023 EP Somber for Favorite Album of the Year; OPM icons Sarah Geronimo and Bamboo’s “Treading Waters” for Favorite Collaboration; Geronimo again for Favorite Solo Artist; and Cedric Escobar for Favorite New Solo Artist.
Presented by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry or PARI, the Awit Awards are music awards bestowed upon artists and other individuals within the Philippine music industry, highlighting the best work across multiple categories on an annual basis.
