Billboard has announced the commencement of their annual Fan-Army Face-Off, which features several of the most prominent names in the global music scene, including the Philippines’ leading P-pop figures, SB19 and BINI.
The first round of voting began earlier this week on July 14, comprising sixty-four different global artists (ranging from mainstream pop, K-pop, and even P-pop) and their respective fan armies, in order to determine which artist has the most devout and passionate fan base out there. Round 1 will run until noon (EST) on Monday, July 21, with the second round of voting beginning promptly after Round 1 wraps.
This year’s iteration of the Fan-Army Face Off includes a plethora of artists such as Addison Rae, aespa, Ángela Aguilar, Ariana Grande, ATEEZ, Bad Bunny, Bailey Zimmerman, BE:FIRST, Benson Boone, Beyoncé, BigXthaPlug, Billie Eilish, BINI, BLACKPINK, BTS, Cardi B, Chappell Roan, Charli xcx, Chris Brown, Doechii, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, ENHYPEN, GloRilla, Gracie Abrams, Hozier, Jelly Roll, JO1, John Summit, Justin Bieber, Karol G, KATSEYE, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Mariah Carey, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Morgan Wallen, Mrs. GREEN APPLE, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, Peso Pluma, Playboi Carti, Post Malone, Rihanna, Sabrina Carpenter, SB19, Selena Gomez, SEVENTEEN, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Shakira, Sleep Token, Stray Kids, SZA, Tate McRae, Taylor Swift, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Travis Scott, TWICE, Tyla, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
In its past iterations, SB19 have taken the crown for Billboard’s Fan-Army Face Off consecutively in 2024 and 2023. The Kings of P-pop and their impassioned fanbase of A’TIN previously beat the likes of Rihanna’s Navy, Taylor Swift’s Swifties, Ariana Grande’s Arianators, and the fanbase of Billie Eilish. They also beat SEVENTEEN’s CARATs, Cardi B’s Bardigang, and Shakira’s fanbase in 2023. However, this year marks a monumental feat for the Nation’s Girl Group, BINI, who have been selected as a nominee for the voting process for the first time ever in their career.
