BINI have achieved another historic milestone, earning a nomination for Favorite Global Music Star at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards 2026.
Officially announced on October 8, 2026, the nomination makes the Nation’s Girl Group the first Filipino act and the first-ever non-Korean representative selected for the category, marking a significant moment for Filipino pop on an international stage.
Composed of Jhoanna, Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, and Sheena, BINI are representing Asia in a global lineup featuring Karol G for Latin America, Zara Larsson for Europe, Taylor Swift for North America, Olivia Dean for the United Kingdom, Tame Impala for Australia, and Tyla for Africa.
Since the category’s introduction in 2017, South Korean acts have represented Asia, including BIGBANG, BTS, BLACKPINK, and Stray Kids. Meanwhile, fellow P-popP-PopShort for Pilipino pop, a movement of Filipino idol groups and solo acts who combine pop music, choreography, and polished production for local and international audiences.
