Arthur Nery is gearing up to release long-awaited new music.
Recently, it was announced that the R&B/soul singer-songwriter is set to debut his first-ever fully Bisaya song entitled “Ayaw Baya” on August 1, 2025. With a title loosely translating to “Please don’t,” or “Just don’t,” the track was written as a heartfelt dedication to his hometown, Cagayan de Oro.
In an official press release, the song was described to “blend his (Arthur’s) signature neo-soul and R&B stylings with the rich texture of regional language.” Additionally, it was said that in this new feature, “Arthur explores themes of love, abandonment, and the silent grief of unspoken farewells.”
This marks Arthur’s first musical drop following the premiere of his sophomore album appropriately titled II: The second. The record contains some of his popular tracks like “o ninanais,” “Segundo, Siguro,” and more. Released in September of 2024, this preceded his second-ever concert at the Araneta Coliseum on October 25, 2024.
In related news, Arthur Nery recently premiered the music video of his hit single “Isa Lang” featuring Filipino actress and model, Kaila Estrada. Read more about it here.
