Filipino indie-pop group Any Name’s Okay have just released a live performance video to “Tabing Dagat” –– an unreleased track that they performed during their sixth-anniversary gig last November 2023.
The song was performed as a surprise treat to audiences, as it seamlessly transitioned following their performance of “Discovery” during the show. Unlike the majority of the tracks in their discography, “Tabing Dagat” is in Filipino, and weaves together a narrative about lovers finding solace by the sea. The sense of intimacy and warmth conveyed by lead vocalist, Sofia Abrogar’s vocals brings the story told within the story to life -– painting a vivid and emotional landscape from the track’s lyrics. The video also serves as the latest entry to their ongoing live performance series on their official YouTube channel and follows a special rendition of their latest single “Cobalt Blue“, which was also performed during the same event.
In other news, Any Name’s Okay will be performing at SYQL Productions‘ upcoming event ‘One More Song 3‘ alongside Ang Bandang Shirley, Syd Hartha, Over October, Kindred, and more this March 2, 2024, at 123 Block, Mandala Park, Mandaluyong. Tickets are now available for SYQL’s “One More Song 3” event here, with a pre-sale price of Php 700, a regular price of Php 800, and walk-in door prices set at Php 900 (upon availability).
