ALAMAT‘s Alas has officially debuted as a solo artist.
On February 7 (Friday), the rapper-singer released his his solo debut single, entitled “Don’t Play.” This marks Alas as the first member of ALAMAT to make their official solo debut, following the group’s own debut last February 14, 2021. His solo debut was first officially announced by Viva Records last February 2, 2025.
Alas first teased the upbeat hip-hop track during his solo performance segment at ALAMAT’s second solo concert ‘RAGASA,’ held last December 6, 2024 at the New Frontier Theater. It notably contains a mix of Tagalog, English, and Bisaya lyrics.
Ahead of the song’s release, Alas held a special launch event for the track on the night of February 6, 2025 (Thursday) at Atmosfera Poblacion in Makati City.
In other news, Alamat’s latest single “Sa ‘Yo Pa Rin Uuwi” was released last December 13, 2024. It served as the follow-up to “Hiraya,” which came out last November 20, 2024, marking the start of a new era in ALAMAT’s journey. This includes the group’s forthcoming second EP, set to be released sometime this year.
