“I will not see you for a very long time,” Adele proclaimed at the final show of her Munich residency.

As recorded by a fan on TikTok, the critically acclaimed vocalist announced that she will be taking a break from music after the remaining ten shows of her Vegas residency. This declaration came as a shock as the final leg of her Las Vegas residency is soon to take place. “I just need a rest. I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself and I want to live it now.” She said, “I want to live my life that I’ve been building and I will miss you terribly.”

The superstar previously had to take a break from her first Las Vegas residency due to vocal injury. After being put on vocal rest, she posted announcing the postponed dates of Weekends with Adele, “The Final Shows.”

Adele’s most recent album 30 — which was released in 2021 — has gone on to grab 6 different Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. The critically acclaimed piece won the Brit Award for British Album of the Year in 2021. Accumulating over a billion streams on Spotify alone, her hit track on the album, “Easy on Me“, has become an icon of its own.
