Make way for a new P-pop sensation in town. Meet VVINK, FlipMusic‘s first-ever P-pop girl group.

Last July 10, the girl group wasted no time making a bold statement with their debut showcase and single launch for “Tulala,” held at Club Hype in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Pronounced “wink,” VVINK is spelled with two Vs — representing second chances and double victory. The two Vs form a “W,” symbolizing the wins forged through grit, growth, and the choice to rise after every fall.

Each member brings something unique to the table. From joining singing competitions and dance contests to appearing in commercials and TV shows, each member brings years of experience, passion, and personal stories into a group that’s all about second chances, growth, and finding unity in diversity.

Before they even stepped into the spotlight as a group, Angelika, Ayaka, Jean, Mariel, and Odri were already carving their own paths.

Jean and Mariel began their journeys on The Voice Kids, where they tried their luck during the show’s third season. Angelika was a finalist in PopPinoy, a talent search for the next P-pop stars, and also made her mark as the songwriter of BINI’s chart-topping track, “Pantropiko.”

Meanwhile, Ayaka, a Filipina-Japanese, moved from Japan to the Philippines pursue her dreams and joined local TV contests like Little Miss Philippines and Mini-Me. Odri was previously a trainee for another P-pop group and continued to hone her skills through years of training as a professional dancer.

Individually, each member may have faced setbacks and challenges in their respective journeys. But together as VVINK, they’ve created a space where they uplift one another and bring out the best in themselves as they chase their dreams together.

Two years ago, their journey didn’t begin with group rehearsals. Instead, they each released solo singles, which was a bold and uncommon move in the P-pop world. VVINK: The Pre-Debut Album, released on May 16, 2025, allowed each member to showcase their artistry through two solo singles.

This approach gave them the space to discover who they were as artists before coming together as a group. Though they started as individuals, their shared goal has always been the same: to connect through music with authenticity.

Eventually, their dynamic strengthened when they began living and training together. The first few months were all about adjusting. From sharing pet peeves to learning how to live together, the girls faced every challenge head-on. Being far from their families, they often felt homesick. But they always reminded each other why they started, which is what has motivated them every day.

Fortunately, VVINK have been given the space to explore their creativity and individuality thanks to FlipMusic. That freedom helped them evolve not just as singers, dancers, and performers on their own, but together as one.

With the P-pop scene constantly growing, VVINK are eager to embrace more of the collaborative spirit. They named BINI, KAIA, SB19, and Cup of Joe as their dream groups to work with, along with their musical influences that include Sarah Geronimo, KZ Tandingan, and Donnalyn Bartolome.

Given second chances and carrying their own chips on their shoulders, VVINK are now ready to prove what they can do and achieve together in the P-pop scene.

Their debut single, “Tulala,” is a dreamy and upbeat track that captures the whirlwind of emotions that come with first love, something that resonates deeply with young listeners.

But this is just the beginning. During the debut showcase, FlipMusic revealed a short sizzle reel teasing what’s ahead, with five more songs already lined up for release through 2026.

As VVINK continue to build momentum, the group is set to explore a wider range of sounds, emotions, and stories in their upcoming releases. Following “Tulala,” the group will release “Tatlong Hiling” and “BADÜY” in the last quarter of 2025, followed by “Kailan Ka Aaamin” in early 2026, and wrapping up with “Ikaw Lang Ang Kulang” and “Tulog Pa Si Ganda” in the second quarter of the year.

With all signs pointing toward a full debut album in 2026, FlipMusic is confidently moving forward with VVINK, their girl group built on passion, perseverance, and undeniable talent. Individually strong and even more united together, VVINK are poised to make their mark as one of the most promising acts in the next wave of P-pop.
