Seoul-based Filipino pop group HORI7ON are back with a new track entitled “LUCKY” as part of their “DAYTOUR” single.
Released last March 2 alongside an accompanying music video, the group’s latest release is an upbeat pop track punctuated by bright instrumentation featuring a prominent brass section in the chorus coupled with lyrics touching on themes of feeling “lucky” thanks to a special someone.
On the day of the single’s release, the 7-piece also held a press conference and a showcase at the Samsung Hall in SM Aura in Taguig to celebrate their comeback. When asked on their greatest challenge so far as a group, youngest member Marcus stated that it was learning the language (Korean). Marcus further elaborated, saying, “Kasi siyempre based kami sa South Korea so we had to learn the culture, the language, and… not just Korea… If we ever perform in, like, Mexico, which we actually have, and like other countries, we are very open to learning about their culture and language… Since we’re a global pop group, we want to be… globally connected to everyone.”

Teased in an announcement made last February 9, “DAYTOUR” comes as the follow-up to HORI7ON’s first album Friend-SHIP released last July 2023, featuring the tracks “SIX7EEN”, “Lovey Dovey”, and “Birthday”.
Just last year, HORI7ON performed “SIX7EEN” and won the Focus Award at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
