On May 21, 2026, Melbourne-based jazz/funk group Hiatus Kaiyote made their highly anticipated Manila debut at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
Bringing their neo-soul, acid jazz, and alternative R&B sound to the Filipino crowd for the first time, audiences were treated to fan-favorite tracks, old and new, including “Molasses,” “Nakamarra,” and “Red Room.”
Presented by Karpos Multimedia as part of their Karpos Live concert series, members Nai Palm on guitars and vocals, Paul Bender on bass, Simon Mavin on keyboards, and Perrin Moss on drums let the crowd know of their stage-ready presence and pure energy.
Filipino-Australian producer silentjay opened for the band before later serving as one of the backup vocalists during the band’s performances. Another highlight of their show was right before the encore performance of “Building A Ladder,” when Bender, Mavin, and Moss took the stage to deliver solo instrumentations and showcase why their performances are truly made for a live crowd.
