Over the past week, we’ve seen an abundance of P-pop releases from some of the biggest and most promising artists in the Philippine music scene.
BINI, the Nation’s very own girl group, released their highly anticipated third studio album FLAMES last Thursday (November 20, 2025) –– which featured their string of singles, the inspirational “Paru Paro,” the hip-hop infused “Shagidi,” and the chart-topping hit “First Luv.” Still, the album is also filled with other bangers-in-the-making, with the focus track “Sweet Tooth” adding new elements to BINI’s sonic palette with its smooth R&B set of soundscapes, or the beachy “Bikini” surprising listeners with its infectious hook and bouncy beats. Though even as a whole, the entirety of FLAMES marks a new era of BINI and their passionate fanbase of BLOOMS, giving the record a high chance of breaking through on the Billboard Philippines charts.
Just a day after, renowned P-pop group ALAMAT also dropped their long-awaited sophomore album with DESTINO — blending their P-pop inclinations with ‘kalye’ hip-hop influences, making it an enticing fusion of genres. Its lead single, “LuzViMinda,” garnered significant traction online on streaming platforms nationwide upon its release, while earlier singles like “Hiraya” and deep cuts such as “Sinigang” continue to warrant further attention from casual P-pop fans. With several tracks written and produced by some of the group’s members themselves, it’s another strong display of P-pop’s evolution within a short amount of time, which could easily be appreciated by casual fans of the genre to give it a bigger chance of debuting on the Billboard Philippines chart.
Yet who can forget the groundbreaking debut of the Female Alphas of P-pop, G22? Their first-ever full-length record, The Dissection of Eve, was just released on Saturday (November 22, 2025) and was met with acclaim from industry figures and their fanbase of Bullets. Aside from including the viral single “Pa-Pa-Pa-Palaban” (which was exquisitely produced by the team at FlipMusic), the album also included several self-written and self-produced tracks from G22’s members themselves. The underrated “Filipina Queen” and “KIAK (Kung Ikaw At Ako)” see them experiment with more sensual R&B elements, while upbeat bangers like “Groove On,” “Super Saiyan,” or “LAKUMPAKE!” and romantic tracks like “First” continue to expand G22’s repertoire to new heights.
Aside from the major album releases of the week, other notable P-pop tracks that dominated several streaming and social platforms over the past week. SB19 dropped a brand new single with “Burn The Flame” as part of their collaboration with the mobile gaming platform Honor Thy Kings, with the track even making a strong, if impressive, debut on Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart just yesterday (November 26, 2025). On TikTok and Instagram, FlipMusic’s rising girl group VVINK have garnered significant traction for their latest track, “Baduy,” which was done in collaboration with budots’ pioneering figure, DJ Love, as well as Pio Balbuena.
Amidst such strong releases, which one do you think will break into the Billboard Philippines charts next week?
