On a night that felt both like a celebration and a declaration, Flow G welcomed fans, friends, fellow star-studded artists, and even his dogs to the Brooklyn Warehouse in Manila for the unveiling of his first-ever studio album, 247. Timed to coincide with his birthday, the event became more than your average listening party; it was an intimate celebration of his journey thus far, and his potential for even more.

Al James, SB19’s Josh Cullen, Gloc-9, Skusta Clee, and even more big names filled the venue as the night unfolded, but the spotlight never shifted from Flow G. Reflecting on the weight of releasing his first full-length feature, he admitted: “Para sa’kin, si Flow G, marami na rin siyang sino-shoulder, marami siyang pasan sa balikat, at marami siyang pananagutan sa mga hinahakot niyang audience. Kung single lang ang ilalabas ko, baka mainis sila sa’kin — kaya ayan, dose!”
(For me, Flow G already carries a lot on his shoulders and has many responsibilities to the audience he has drawn to him. If I only released a single, they might get annoyed with me — so here’s a dozen!)

The finished product is a twelve-track collection that includes a range of tracks like the grungy and unfiltered “8080” and “Una Lagi,” which he dedicates to his long-term girlfriend Angelica Jane Yap, and much more. Originally intended to be fourteen songs, the project was trimmed down for its vinyl release — though Flow G teased that the two unreleased tracks will surface in the near future.

While 247 does not feature collaborations, Flow G hinted at “big names” being lined up for his second album, which he confirmed is already in motion.
As a commemorative piece for the new album, the record was also released in vinyl format. The 247 vinyl record is pressed on standard black vinyl, exclusively available in a set package that includes a custom turntable designed by Pro-Ject Audio Systems, and sold for Php. 100,000. Upon entering the venue, guests were greeted by the vinyl displayed in a clear acrylic case, before it was brought out and played for the main listening party. During a Q&A session ahead of the event, Flow G proudly revealed that every copy of the 247 vinyl had already sold out.

With 247, Flow G makes it clear that he continues onwards and upwards — stepping into a bigger role to use his narrative to change the Philippine hip-hop landscape as a whole.
