Billboard Philippines: Congrats the release of your latest digital single Too Much Part 1! It’s a very vibrant, fun, colorful, and playful comeback, from the concept photos to the sound and lyrics of the songs themselves.

What makes the members of FIFTY FIFTY excited for this comeback in particular? What should your fans, the TWENY, expect?

CHANELLE MOON: I think what would definitely make us excited for this comeback is getting to see our fans again after a long time on top of the stage and showing them a different side of ourselves. I think our fans can expect a sort of sweet and sour vibe, the usual FIFTY FIFTY pop with a side of cool and chic.

ATHENA: I think what particularly makes this comeback so exciting is the fact that we incorporated the game “rock paper scissors” in our song as the main concept of our title. So, I think our fans can expect to see some competitive spirit here and there while we are performing.

Too Much Part 1 is composed of the main track “Eeny meeny miny moe,” as well as “Skittlez,” and the English version of “Eeny meeny miny moe.” For each member of FIFTY FIFTY, which one of these songs is your personal favorite and why?

CHANELLE MOON: I personally really love “Eeny meeny miny moe.” Firstly, I did it a lot because I’m terrible at choosing. But it’s just so fun to listen to and I think it brightens up the day right away. I remember thinking, “Oh this is so FIFTY FIFTY. This song fits with us so well! And it’s definitely a song our fans, TWENY, will love.”

ATHENA: In this album, I have to choose “Skittlez.” Not only because it’s such a fun song to perform and listen to, but also because it’s a song that showcases a side of us that we haven’t shown before.

HANA: I love all the songs, but “Skittlez” feels extra special since it’s our first time trying hip-hop!

YEWON: Personally, I’d say “Skittlez!” It was really fun to work on because it’s our first time trying out a hip-hop vibe that we’ve never done before.

KEENA: I like “Skittlez” the most. It’s a song that really brings out each member’s unique color, and we can feel a strong energy exchange on stage. I’m personally excited about it because it also lets us show a new side of ourselves.

For each member of FIFTY FIFTY, from recording the songs and learning the choreography to filming the music video and taking the concept photos, what were some of the most memorable moments you had when preparing for your comeback with Too Much Part 1?

CHANELLE MOON: During the making of this music video, we mentioned this quite a lot, but it’s that memorable to us. We spent almost 24 hours filming for the music video together! We were almost never separate. So, we have a lot of fun memories where we are just messing around on set together.

For example, there’s a scene where we react to YEWON falling over. During one of the many takes, I brought out my acting skills and was extremely dramatic by deciding I should lunge towards YEWON with all my might screaming “No!” at the top of my lungs as she tumbles down. They ended up using that take in the music video (chuckles).

ATHENA: As some might know, our song “Pookie” got viral for having a boy group version of it. So this time, our producer actually applied the same concept in the last part of our song “Skittlez” music video, which made us have some funny moments of us letting our boyish flirting styles out.

HANA: Filming the music video was really memorable because we got to relive some of the childhood games we used to play.

YEWON: For me, it was the music video shoot! Since there were so many scenes we filmed together, we made a lot of great memories and shared so many funny moments — it was a lot of fun!

KEENA: I remember the music video shoot the most. The lighting and the set had such a beautiful mood that I couldn’t wait to see how the final video would turn out. What I remember most is when all the members got together, joking around and having fun during the shoot!

The new year is just around the corner. As a group, what is one goal that FIFTY FIFTY want to achieve together in 2026?

HANA: I’ve always said this, but I really want to win first place on a music show someday!

YEWON: In 2026, I really hope we can win first place on a music show! It’s one of our goals because we want to give back to our TWENY for all their love and support.
