The one-of-a-kind experience pays tribute both to the story itself and the band’s love for their beloved Liwanag fandom. More than just an album by one of OPM’s leading indie-folk acts, it tells the journey of Liwanag as she faces and overcomes various challenges. “In the story of The Traveller Across Dimensions, to be ‘present with love’ is what is generally known as mindfulness, or being aware of our thoughts and emotions, and responding to the present moment with love and kindness,” the group shared in an official statement.

Liwanag, who belongs to an interdimensional race called the Travellers, aims to reach a place called the Duyan Dimension, where they can find and achieve perpetual inner peace. On her journey, she passes through three Dimensions: Light (innocence), Energy (struggle), and Feel (maturity), writing 12 songs that capture her experiences along the way.

The experience blended live music, animation, narration, and dance. With visuals projected onto the screen, the band performed a short live acoustic set that accompanied Liwanag’s journey. Attendees included school administrators and guidance counselors, students, and members of the Liwanag community.

After the performance, the experience transitioned to a heartfelt talkback focusing on being “present with love.” This insightful discussion allowed the audience to connect with the band’s vocalist, Paolo Benjamin, and percussionist Andrew de Pano, along with the latter’s wife and licensed associate psychologist, Erika de Pano.

Erika emphasized the gift of attention and the importance of truly seeing one another and showing up to meet each other’s needs. Paolo reflected on humility in relationships, noting that even when you are right, it’s important to release the feeling of superiority and remove all barriers with love. The band highlighted how listening and making each other feel seen is often undervalued in modern relationships. Additionally, Andrew added that love can sometimes be quite challenging and uncomfortable, but coming from a place of care provides more context and understanding.
