TJ Monterde and KZ Tandingan proved why they’re not just an amazing couple but also a formidable tag team on stage with their sold-out, four-night, show-stopping run at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for their ‘In Between‘ concert from February 6 to 9, 2026.

Presented by Cornerstone Concerts, the shows came roughly a year after Monterde’s three-day sold-out ‘Sarili Nating Mundo‘ shows at the Big Dome in February 2025, which made him the first local male artist to sell out three consecutive concerts at the venue. This time around, the “Palagi” hitmaker was joined by his other half.
Billboard Philippines rounds up five magical and memorable moments from the show. The event itself was packed with mesmerizing, large-scale performances featuring the pair’s individual solo sets as well as their much-anticipated duet numbers, proving why they are not only perfect for each other but also for the big stage.

After TJ and KZ kicked off the show with their duet “Simula,” Monterde picked up right where he left off after a jam-packed year of shows across the globe. His return to the Smart Araneta Coliseum proved that the stage is his second home, as he effortlessly held the crowd in the palm of his hand. Longtime fans of the “Palagi” hitmaker know that hearing him perform live is always a treat. For those experiencing Monterde live for the first time, the concert served as both an epic introduction and a reintroduction. His set featured a mix of his earlier songs as well as more recent hits, including “Ikaw at Ako,” “Darating Din,” “Malay Mo,” “Sariling Mundo,” and “Tulad Mo.” Beyond the music itself, Monterde’s conversations with the crowd packed an intimate experience.

Of course, TJ’s other half, Asia’s Soul Supreme, deserves her flowers — much like her “palagi” (always). The second half of the show featured Tandingan’s set, which we would argue tore the house down. She performed tracks like “Toyo,” “Walang Hiyang Pag-ibig,” “Halik sa Hangin,” and delivered electrifying covers of Gloc-9 and Jeazell Grutas’ “Upuan” and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep.” With her performances, Tandingan showcased why she is a complete package — not only able to write her own songs but also to perform them with raw, high-energy intensity that makes every moment exciting to witness. Undoubtedly, her stage presence grows even more powerful whenever she belts out a song with all her heart.
A two-for-one special

The night felt like getting more than what you paid for. The back-to-back sets of Monterde and Tandingan each brought the house down on their own, but when they came together on stage, it felt like the moment had been long overdue. Despite having their own distinct styles — Monterde leaning toward romantic ballads while Tandingan isn’t afraid to rock out whenever needed — their performances mirrored their dynamics as two hearts meeting in between. They shared how completely different they are as people, with contrasting personalities, yet somehow they found a way to coexist. That harmony also translated to their artistry, allowing them to collaborate smoothly on stage. Anyone can put on a back-to-back concert featuring two artists, but with Monterde and Tandingan, we’re more than happy to see many more of their team-up shows anytime soon.

When you have two lovebirds like Monterde and Tandingan on stage performing, you can definitely expect a certain level of kilig. Yet it never feels cheesy, because their chemistry goes beyond what audiences see on stage, on television, or in front of the camera. The performances that showcase them are a testament to a real love built on trust, understanding, and commitment. This authenticity makes their duets even more captivating and their connection even more heartwarming. Just in time for the weekend before Valentine’s Day, this year’s love month was made even more special by two artists and two people, who prove that forever is possible, as long as both are willing to work together to make it last.
3 hours of pure musical magic

As for the trentahin (in their thirties) crowd or the much older demographic who couldn’t wait for the show to end, the shows were in fact over three hours long. But every peso spent on the tickets was well worth it. Master Director John Prats’ direction ensured that audiences left feeling more than satisfied. ‘In Between’ successfully delivered powerful solo sets for both Monterde and Tandingan while also leaving room for what most fans came to see: their heartfelt duets and, of course, “Palagi.” One of the night’s highlights was when Monterde covered his wife’s “Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako,” changing the final line from “Sino’ng pipiliin ko, mahal ko o mahal ako?” to “Sino’ng pipiliin ko, mahal ko at mahal ako?” — a surprising moment that let out all the feels. Meanwhile, the show was capped off with their duet of “Palagi,” which had the audience on their feet, singing along and cheering as the performance powered through to the very end.
