1621: Manifesting The Dream

For 1621, the signs have always been there. 

Named after the angel number associated with manifestation, fresh starts, and the belief that one’s goals are beginning to take shape, the PPL Entertainment boy group have spent the past few years turning their aspirations into reality. Since debuting with “Laruan” in 2023, members JM, JC, Win, Migz, and DJ have steadily carved out their place in the growing P-pop landscape, guided by the same dreams that first brought them together following their journey on the survival show Dream Maker. 

Like many rising P-pop acts, 1621’s journey has been marked by growth, uncertainty, and perseverance. Yet through every challenge, the group moved forward, supported by their fandom, Guardians, and driven by a shared belief in what they could become. Their breakthrough arrived with the viral success of their 2025 pop track “Bababa,” introducing the quintet to a wider audience and signaling that their hard work was beginning to resonate beyond their fanbase. 

The release of their latest EP 1621:BEGIN, featuring tracks such as “Manifest Mo Na ‘Yan!,” “Oh, Ano?,” and “Orasan,” arrived at a pivotal moment in the five-member act’s career. Fittingly, its title reflects not only a new musical chapter for the boys, but also a realization that the dreams they once envisioned are no longer distant possibilities. They’re beginning to happen. 

Named as part of Billboard Philippines’ P-Pop Class of 2026, 1621 are marking another glimpse into the ambitions they continue to manifest. In this exclusive interview, the members reflect on the authenticity and brotherhood that define the group and share their hopes for the future of their music. 

For member Win, 1621:BEGIN symbolizes everything the group has worked toward, explaining that “right now, it represents the start of bigger dreams, bigger goals, and a deeper connection with our supporters.” After years of preparation and belief, 1621 are starting to see their dreams take shape. And if their recent momentum is any indication, it may only be the beginning.
