This weekend, Neck Deep are coming back to Manila for a night of pure pop-punk goodness.

Happening this May 11, 2025 (Sunday) at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City, the band’s return to Manila comes with a lot of excitement, especially following the release of their fifth studio album, Neck Deep. As the the Welsh pop-punk heroes make their highly anticipated return after two years, it’s time to get ready to stage dive, mosh, and sing your lungs out with thousands of other fans.

And so, to pump you all up, Billboard Philippines has curated 10 must-listen songs from Neck Deep to help you get ready for the show and make it a night to remember.

“Dumbstruck Dumbf**k”

Neck Deep’s self-titled album is a return to their early sonic signature whilst tastefully encompassing their sound in the later years. So, what better way to introduce you to who Neck Deep are now than with that album’s heavy-hitting opening track, “Dumbstruck Dumbf**k.”

“Sort Yourself Out”

Keeping the ball rolling on the band’s self-titled record is its second track “Sort Yourself Out.” It details the rather arduous endeavor of dealing with the complexities of a toxic relationship, playfully juxtaposed against melodic guitars, upbeat drums, and a catchy chorus.

“Motion Sickness”

For a band that effortlessly induces endless stage dives and circle pits at all of their shows, there could not be a more perfect song than “Motion Sickness.” Contrary to its title, the melodic track is a motivational anthem, encouraging listeners to celebrate wins, take risks, and keep moving forward no matter what.

“Gold Steps”

Speaking of motivational anthems, check out “Gold Steps” as well!

Taken from the band’s sophomore album Life’s Not Out To Get You, this fan-favorite banger from 2015 is a testament to Neck Deep’s enduring ability to create the catchiest of tunes early on. Set against a backdrop of soaring electric guitars and hard-hitting drums, the song offers a reminder that, no matter what challenges are thrown at you, giving up isn’t the answer. Why? Because, indeed, life’s not out to get you.

“She’s A God”

Loving someone (and it being reciprocated) can be somewhat of a quasi-spiritual experience for some. This is exactly what Neck Deep perfectly capture in their 2019 single “She’s A God,” evoking the out-of-this-world, almost enlightening feeling of receiving genuine love from another person.

“Lowlife”

Not being able to fit in with the rest of society, one way or another, is something a lot of us deal with. With “Lowlife,” Neck Deep are asking us, “Well, why should you have to fit in?”

Taken from the band’s 2020 concept album All Distortions Are Intentional, “Lowlife” is a laid-back fun track that follows the album’s lead characters Jett and Alice as they stick it to the Man, reject stereotypical societal expectations, and embrace the uniqueness that brands them as outcasts.

“Can’t Kick Up The Roots”

As the joke goes, a pop-punk band isn’t a pop-punk band without a song about how their hometown sucks. For Neck Deep, that’s “Can’t Kick Up The Roots.” However, there’s a positive twist to it.

Here, Neck Deep embrace the flaws of their hometown of Wrexham in Wales, proclaiming their love for it and fondly recalling all the memories they’ve come to associate with it over the years. For them, at the end of the day, there’s still no place like home.

“In Bloom”

A relationship slowly deteriorating is nothing short of painful. The almost one-sided ordeal of trying to build it up again? Even more so. If you relate, then “In Bloom” is the song for you. One of Neck Deep’s more melodic tracks, it dives into a love that is fading away, detailing the act of trying one’s hardest to revive everything despite being it being like a dying plant struggling to bloom.

“Heartbreak Of The Century”

Since we’re on the theme of heartache, it would be amiss to not tell you to listen to “Heartbreak Of The Century.”

As it title so clearly suggests, it’s a heartbreak anthem that details the fallout of a relationship that meant so much to someone and the emotional turmoil that comes as one deals with the adverse effects. On the flip side, much like “Sort Yourself Out,” its instrumentals are melodic, catchy, and upbeat to the core — a good ol’ high-octane pop punk track from start to finish.

“December (again)”

Lastly, no Neck Deep song list would be complete without the perennial “December” — one of, if not, Neck Deep’s biggest songs ever. Originally also taken from Life’s Not Out To Get You, “December” has a total of three versions out there but we recommend “December (again)” which features Blink-182 vocalist and bassist Mark Hoppus.
