Valentine’s day is about to get a whole lot more exciting – Drake is coming back.
Today (February 4), the Canada native artist, along with fellow OVO SOUND Artist, PARTYNEXTDOOR, took to social media to announce the upcoming release of the pair’s next collaborative album titled $OME $EXY $ONGS 4 U. The teaser for this exciting new full-bodied feature involves a downbeat and suave production, setting the romantic mood just in time for the season of love. This would mark the pair’s first full album together, after working on a number of collaborative singles dating all the way back to 2016 in their piece for Drake’s hit album Views, “With You.”
This would mark Drake’s first full-length release following the deluxe version of his viral album, For All The Dogs. The artist has also been engaging in a legal battle with the Universal Music Group for a defamation lawsuit over the five-time GRAMMY winning track, “Not Like Us.” Following the conclusion of his high profile feud with Kendrick Lamar, Drake has dropped three entirely new singles, “Sideways” with Gordo, a single album titled 100 GIGS, and his solo work “No Face.”
Jahron Anthony Brathwaite, or stylistically known as PARTYNEXTDOOR, on the other hand, dropped his groundbreaking eponymous album, PARTYNEXTDOOR (P4). Brathwaite has been making waves in the growing pool of R&B/Soul artists, as his recent tracks “Make It To The Morning” and “No Chill” have been circulating the internet with virality.
