Hailing all the way from Bicol, the young musician joins the likes of Dilaw, Lola Amour, PLAYERTWO, and more as part of the Warner Music Philippines — with his musical and theatrical background having inspired his journey over the years. “Jan is a singer-songwriter whose music captures a spectrum of emotions, from the intense to the everyday moments of life and love,” mentioned the prestigious label in an official press announcement.

Jan Roberts first came into prominence when he began writing his own music during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and eventually gained recognition within several online music spaces via busking on platforms like Discord. As he continued to make waves across the local music scene, he eventually found breakthrough success with the release of his viral single, titled “Sagip.” The track went on to peak at No. 3 on the Spotify Philippines’ Viral 100 charts and has amassed over three million streams and counting since its initial release on the platform earlier this February 2024.

Just earlier this month, he shared his latest single, “Hirap Kalimutan,” which has already achieved close to one million streams on Spotify alone. Its lyric video has also continued to make waves on YouTube, proving that his music continues to resonate with a growing audience. To celebrate his signing to Warner Music Philippines, Roberts will be hosting a special livestream showcase across all his official social media platforms later this week on October 24, 2024 (Friday).
