Global independent music powerhouse ONErpm is celebrating its 15th anniversary in the music industry by deepening its footprint in Southeast Asia with an official expansion into the Philippines. The newly unveiled move underscores the company’s long-term commitment to empowering artists with cutting-edge tech, flexible deal structures, and a global reach — all while staying fiercely independent.
The global music and video distribution company, which ranks among YouTube’s top five music partners with over 25 billion monthly views, is doubling down on high-growth regions as of late, including that of Asia and Africa. The Philippines now stands as a strategic hub in its Southeast Asia strategy, with a full local team dedicated to artist development, business strategy, and A&R.
Heading up the Philippines operation is Clark Cunanan, tapped as Senior Business Development Manager. Cunanan brings a solid track record from stints at The Orchard Philippines and Universal Music Group, where he built his chops in A&R, label services, and artist marketing. He’s joined by Marketing Manager Alyssa “Pebs” Pe Benito, a seasoned strategist known for delivering viral campaigns and driving artist growth through a mix of major label experience and grassroots indie hustle with experiences amounting to over a decade in the industry.
On the A&R front, former radio personality Presh Ong — widely recognized from her Wish 107.5 days as DJ Alice — steps in as Business Development and A&R Representative. Ong brings over a decade of artist relations and label experience, recently making waves with two viral releases at indie imprint Radical Music. Rounding out the team is Louie Tamon, who joins as Project Manager, overseeing backend operations, DSP pitching, and artist onboarding, building on his previous experience at Wish 107.5 and KDR Music House.
“Our goal is to provide global reach with local execution. We have A&R, marketing, and partnerships teams staffed locally, but backed by a platform and network that already moves hits across continents,” said Isaac Miranda, ONErpm’s Associate Director for Asia. “The Philippines already has the talent pool, a passionate music scene, and strong export potential, which allows us to add considerable value through flexible deal structures,
transparency, incredible local personnel, and our tech stack,” he continues.
With this expansion, ONErpm continues to redefine what it means to be a record label in today’s music economy, as it offers creators full-service solutions from distribution to joint ventures and catalog deals, all under a model that champions independence and long-term sustainability.
