Pinoy Rock

A tradition of rock music made by Filipino bands and singers, featuring guitar-driven sounds and Tagalog or English lyrics. Emerging strongly in the 1970s and 1980s, Pinoy rock shaped OPM history, and its legacy continues through reunions, tribute shows, and a new generation of bands.
