The Last Dinner Party – “Let’s Do It Again!”

As part of War Child Records’ collaborative album HELP(2), the all-female English rock band The Last Dinner Party explores the tumultuous emotional highs and lows of being in an unhealthy relationship with “Let’s Do It Again!” True to the sound we’ve come to expect from the band, their art rock and baroque pop sensibilities majorly give off Rocky Horror vibes. The track comes together for a smooth listen and, in a final sprint before it ends, kicks into high throttle. – Ralph Regis, Lifestyle and Culture Writer

Foo Fighters – “Your Favorite Toy”

Dave Grohl and his gang always seem to have a reason to be in the news — whether they’re announcing a hiatus or going back on tour, and of course there was the recent drummer brouhaha, which, frankly, I don’t care about anymore. It has gotten to the point where new music is the last thing I’d expect from the Foo Fighters, but alas, “Your Favorite Toy” is here. The title track to the band’s upcoming 12th studio album, it’s basically Foo Fighters-by-numbers — thick punk rock-inspired guitar riffs, propulsive drumming, and melodic vocals by Grohl. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, but every once in a while I’d like to hear a band go beyond their formula once they’ve perfected it. – Jason Caballa, Managing Editor

Elise Huang, barb., SDL – “Swimming In The Clouds”

These days, collaborations often happen between emails and Zoom calls; but nothing beats the magic of jamming in a room and having fun. That is what this song is. Produced and written in four hours, Elise Huang, barb., and SDL bring to life a groovy alt-pop track reminscent of a sunny day. “Swimming In The Clouds” is full of sunshine and warmth, as the trio sings about that how that special someone can instantly bring you to cloud 9. – Franchesca Basbas, Digital Editor

FINA – “Paramdam”

The newest P-pop girl group in town, FINA, makes a bold statement with the release of their debut single, “Paramdam.” The track overflows with catchy hooks and vibrant production, creating the perfect recipe for a replay-worthy summer pop anthem. Members Anika, Nala, Chill, Cia, and Heaven each get the chance to showcase their individual strengths, while together, their debut single highlights what FINA is capable of as they step onto the scene. Sure enough, the track offers a first glimpse of the kind of contribution they’re set to bring to the table. – Ralph Regis

Morobeats, DJ Medmessiah – “DI PAPASAKOP”

Morobeats and DJ Medmessiah are back with another undeniable banger with “DI PAPASAKOP” — a timely, yet equally catchy rap anthem that speaks to the collective frustrations of the Filipino people. Heavily inspired by ’90s boom-bap in its production, the track is direct with its political messaging and encapsulates the infectious spirit of the hip-hop collective, making it well-worth marching on the streets to. – Gabriel Saulog, Lead Writer

BGYO – “Fresh”

For their latest single, the Aces of P-pop BGYO have unleashed the latest genre to their growing repertoire — kalye hip-hop. True to its title, the fresh and upbeat track blends lyrics of self-confidence and swagger with the group’s signature funky sound. – Rome Saenz, Regional Music Writer

Ice Nine Kills, Mckenna Grace – “Twisting The Knife”

Fans of scares and frights are in for a treat, as horror-driven metalcore/rock favorites Ice Nine Kills are back with a new single, entitled “Twisting The Knife.”

An original song for the upcoming seventh installment of the Scream franchise, the band has fittingly teamed up with actress-singer and horror veteran Mckenna Grace to deliver a twisted (no pun intended) atmospheric rock ballad. While sonically different from the usual heavy offerings that Ice Nine Kills is best known for, “Twisting The Knife” is still a haunting tune that only frontman Spencer Charnas and company can uniquely deliver – one that undeniably befits one of the most iconic horror franchises of all time. – Mayks Go, Global News & Events Photographer and Writer

Kenaniah – “Huli Na Ba Ang Lahat?”

Kenaniah showcases his serenading side on this track, which centers on yearning and drawing from the pain of losing someone while reflecting on the end of a relationship. Though reflective and contemplative in theme, the production makes it perfect for slow dancing. If you’ve grown fond of his previously released tracks like “Bahala Na” or “Sabihin Lang (Kung Ayaw Mo),” Huli Na Ba Ang Lahat?” further showcases the range he brings as a rising singer-songwriter. – Ralph Regis

Steve Badiola – “All We Know”

In the past two years or so, Typecast have been on an enjoyably relentless streak of exploring a much heavier musical direction, resulting in their darkest sound to date. Now, in an equally satisfying yet sonically different parallel, vocalist and guitarist Steve Badiola is back with new solo music in the form of “All We Know.”

Light and atmospheric, the new single showcases Badiola’s mastery over catchy songwriting and emotive lyricism fans know and love, while simultaneously reminding us of the magic the Typecast frontman can conjure when he touches upon the more acoustic-driven ambient sound his solo work is best enjoyed for. – Mayks Go

Elijah Canlas, SHNTI – “u wanna be?”

In an exciting collaboration between local hip-hop artists, rapper-actor Elijah Canlas and independent hip-hop artist SHNTI have joined forces for their single “u wanna be?” Blending sounds of pop with rap, the track follows a funky beat as Elijah and SHNTI groove along with their suave bars. – Rome Saenz

SB19 – “VISA”

Blending novel pop production with piercing lyricism that encapsulates the daily struggles of millions of Filipinos, it’s undeniable that SB19 have another hit on their hands with their latest single, “VISA.” It’s another clear display that the Kings of P-pop aren’t afraid to take even bigger swings at this point of their career, while also proudly lending a voice to the experiences of their fellow countrymen. “VISA” may be unconventional in terms of its sonic identity, yet it sure is loud about its intentions and messaging in all the best ways. – Gabriel Saulog
