ZAYN – “Die For Me”
ZAYN marches toward a new era with the release of “Die For Me,” an R&B/pop track that serves as the lead single from his fifth studio album, Konnakol — and it’s nothing short of what we’ve come to expect from the former One Direction member. The track brings back the moody energy of Fifty Shades of Grey–era vibes, à la “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” and undoubtedly, his vocals and the production make it seem like we’re back to the ZAYN of old. – Ralph Regis, Writer
Skusta Clee, Flow G – “Since Day One”
Who says that ‘young stunnas’ can’t get vulnerable? Well, apparently Skusta Clee and Flow G agree on such a sentiment –– as seen from their latest collaboration (and hit-in-the making), “Since Day One.”
Aside from showcasing their impeccable flow of bars on their respective verses, both celebrated rappers showcase a new side of themselves with a bold declaration of love that is told in an earnest and heartfelt manner. – Gabriel Saulog, Lead Writer
ZICO, Crush, DEAN, PENOMECO – “Yin and Yang (FANXY CHILD Ver.)”
Considerably the union of Korean R&B’s top names, the remix of ZICO and Crush‘s “Yin ang Yang” which features their fellow FANXY CHILD members DEAN and PENOMECO is a sonic kaleidoscope of style and sound that accurately reflects each and everyone of them. Said to be written and composed by FANXY CHILD themselves, the song is a dynamic blend of hip-hop and R&B that’s sure to hype you up instantly. – Franchesca Basbas, Digital Editor
ORCA – “WEAPONEYES”
No strangers to musical experimentation, ORCA are back with their first single of 2026 “WEAPONEYES,” making it known from the get-go that it is unlike anything the band has unleashed yet. Here, the Filipino metalcore group dish out tasty elements of trap, nu-metal, and rap metal all throughout the entire anthemic release, with each of these fun details going well with the progressive metal foundation that they have become known and loved for.
All in all, this new flavor added to the band’s ever-evolving sonic palate is a welcome change and one that leaves excitement for what’s to come next from them. – Mayks Go, Photographer and Writer
Charlie Puth, Kenny G – “Cry”
The ’80s called, and Charlie Puth answered with an ’80s-inspired soft-rock ballad from his fourth studio album, Whatever’s Clever! Wrapped in his signature production, the songwriting about heartbreak and vulnerability turns it into something you can jam to. It’s made even better by the addition of legendary saxophonist and composer Kenny G. A minor nitpick is that it feels a little too short. – Ralph Regis
Mika Salamanca – “Kasalanan”
Former PBB housemate and viral sensation Mika Salamanca has just released her first single of the year with “Kasalanan” — an upbeat pop hit that’s undeniably made for anyone to groove to on the dancefloor. On the track, Salamanca’s impassioned vocals place an emphasis on her innate carefree spirit, which is further echoed on the track’s lyrics that center on letting loose with the one you love.
While the ’80s dance-pop production by Jeremy G is already worth sinking your teeth into, such a single has added more versatility to her growing discography, further establishing Salamanca’s status as a pop star in the making. – Gabriel Saulog
Eliza Maturan, Illest Morena – “Lapit Kapit”
When you think of Eliza Maturan‘s and Illest Morena‘s music, one can’t help but imagine two different worlds altogether. And yet, in their team-up on “Lapit Kapit,” the two Filipino hitmakers not only prove that their sonic signatures have a nice middle ground but, all the more, what can result from it is nothing less than a sweet, pleasant surprise.
Centered on themes of yearning and attraction, “Lapit Kapit” feels like a perfect way to begin the month of love this year, with its hip-hop-infused R&B-pop sound reeling you in closer with each passing verse and, just like in the song, leaving you wanting more and more. – Mayks Go
Joji – “Hotel California”
No, this isn’t a cover of The Eagles’ 1976 classic, but after the previously released singles from his fourth studio album, PISS IN THE WIND, Joji enters lo-fi territory with “Hotel California.” Sadbois will surely relate thanks to its overall mood and production — it’s the kind of track they’d play well past 10:00 PM. “Hotel California” builds toward its chorus, but ultimately feels unfinished and could’ve had an extended bridge and a verse or two. – Ralph Regis
