Celebrated filmmaker Wes Anderson is back with The Phoenician Scheme, a film boasting an original score composed by Alexandre Desplat and a soundtrack of classical songs.

Set in the 1950s, the dark comedy features an ensemble cast of both longtime collaborators and new faces, including Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, Michael Cera, Tom Hanks, Riz Ahmed, Bryan Cranston, Scarlett Johansson, Benedict Cumberbatch, Bill Murray, and Willem Dafoe.

The film follows ruthless businessman Zsa-zsa Korda (del Toro), who names his estranged daughter Liesl (Threapleton), a nun, as his heir, and together they fight to save his empire from tycoons, terrorists, and assassins.

Desplat, a longtime collaborator of Anderson, returns to score the film, marking their seventh project together after scoringThe Grand Budapest Hotel, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, Isle of Dogs, The French Dispatch, and Asteroid City.

The Phoenician Scheme is set to arrive in Philippine cinemas exclusively at SM Cinema later this year, with an official release date yet to be announced.
