Return to the music of Middle-earth, one film at a time. Howard Shore’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy soundtracks are being released individually as 2LP vinyl editions for each film on Black vinyl or on Palantir Clear vinyl. Orders will be shipped beginning October 3.
This comes after the 6LP box set of the trilogy soundtrack, which was limited to 2,000 copies, sold out in May. It was priced at USD 150 or roughly PHP 8,600. This also marks the first vinyl reissue of each soundtrack since 2018.

Aside from Shore’s compositions, The Fellowship Of The Ring soundtrack includes “May It Be” and “Aníron (Theme for Aragorn and Arwen)” written and performed by Enya, The Two Towers soundtrack features “Gollum’s Song” performed by Emilíana Torrini, and The Return Of The King soundtrack features “Into the West performed by Annie Lennox of Eurythmics.
Released from 2001 to 2003, Peter Jackson‘s adaptation of the J.R.R. Tolkien fantasy epic is regarded as one of cinema’s greatest trilogies of all time, winning 17 out of 30 Academy Award nominations. The third film, The Return of the King, won all 11 of its nominations at the 76th Academy Awards.
The soundtracks garnered numerous accolades and won Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, and Golden Globe Awards.
The music for the three films is all composed, orchestrated, and conducted by Shore, which are performed with the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, the London Voices, and the London Oratory School Schola choir.
