“1, 2, 3… 4!” Experience the story of The Beatles in their own words and music with the return of The Beatles Anthology. The original 1995 documentary series, now restored and remastered, is coming to Disney+, along with the book, remastered Anthology Volumes 1 to 3, and an all-new long-awaited fourth volume.
Directed by Peter Jackson, the original eight-part The Beatles Anthology documentary, first broadcast on ITV in the UK and ABC in the US, is being remastered and expanded into a nine-episode series that will stream on Disney+ beginning November 26. It now includes a new final episode featuring never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr between 1994 to 1995, 15 years after John Lennon’s death.

Meanwhile, the Anthology Collection, produced by longtime friend and producer George Martin, is now featuring the remastered versions of Anthology 1, 2, and 3. It notably featured then-unreleased Beatles material that only appeared on bootlegs. The massive collection includes 191 tracks, studio outtakes, live performances, broadcasts, and demos, and consists of of a 12-LP and eight-CD set.
The collection also includes a brand-new Anthology 4 album supervised by George’s son Giles Martin. It features 13 previously unreleased demos, session recordings, and rare tracks, plus new 2025 mixes of “Free As a Bird” and “Real Love” created by original producer Jeff Lynne, and using de-mixed Lennon vocals. It’s scheduled for release November 21, 2025.

Additionally, The Beatles Anthology Book – 25th Anniversary Edition, a reissue of the book first published in 2000, is set for release on October 14, 2025. This new 368-page edition features more than 1,300 photos, archival documents, artwork, and recollections from all four Beatles and their close associates. It stands as the definitive oral history of the band, tracing their journey from Liverpool to global superstardom and ultimately to their breakup.
